COOPERATIVE PROJECT WITH EMSD
Our client is a government department —Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). The main focus of the project is the education path and landscape part. During the cooperative project, through the communication with EMSD, I understand more about their scope of work. I found that EMSD is like a secret angel who always staying behind us. This make me have a new understanding to them.
In the cooperative project, my responsibility is divided into two stages:
theme 1 concept development and landscape part schematic design process.

ROPE COURSE CONCEPT
‘A ropes course is a challenging outdoor personal development which usually consists of high and/ or low elements. Low elements take place on the ground or only a few feet above the ground. High elements are usually constructed in trees or made of utility poles and require a belay for safety.’
Rope course is always presented as a network form. The network means protection and safety. EMSD always protect us from the accidents, the services provided from EMSD is just like an invisible network which is covered our whole life and all around the society.
PLAN AND SECTION
COMPONENTS
The component is the insight and direction that drive us to design to outdoor space . It is suggested base of the site analyze we had and the experience we hope to suggest.
By suggesting varieties of components,we hope to build in a new image of the green space.Furthermore, outdoor space is not alone serve as the decoration of space or a supplement of the building , it also have it own characters and charm to attract people visit.
COLORED PERSPECTIVES
The tunnel is self standing which is in a tunnel form. It is safe and allowing the same function as normal rope course. The tunnel is connected the grass steps and the top of external vehicle reception. People is able to observe the working environment of the engineers through the roof window above the external vehicle reception. The tunnel also represented the network and the connection between EMSD and the society. The participants passes through (break through) the tunnel and understand more of the cope of EMSD work after visiting the education path.
For the another focus of the scheme is the grass steps and the mesh walkway. The mesh walkway is slightly above the grass steps which allowthe people or wheelchairs pass through. The grass steps and the composition of the trees suggested a free space for people to do any activities there.
